anyway, i went to back to tao nan today. list of ppl i saw: tristen, lie wen, tasha, anne(sarah's sister OMG), benjamin, victor, jia yang, wen wei, haoran, keane, benedict, probably a few more i forgot. waited like 3 hours for the hod's meeting to end and there was a fire drill almost immediately after that. i miss the cheap food there! haha

2b class outing was on 16 november. we went to pasir ris park although it was raining like mad. played volleyball, captain's ball, etc. as we were leaving the beach, i found my first ever live seashell. wanted to check which genus it was but decided against it. too lazy. got a pic of it in my phone but also lazy to upload.

finally blogging in.. a month? went to assist in the katong district cub scout first aid course today. the cubs were super noisy. and before the thing began, that person in charge told us everyone is going to pass regardless on what they do for the test. they may just tell the leader if a cub cmi. it was held at maha bodhi. i got addicted to ian's monopoly on the nokia 5800 xpressmusic. the lunch was super megre, it was like fried rice with an egg. nothing else. district commissioner lyon lai gave out the certificates. oh and kai jun did not come because he had last minute tuition.

hey all havent been blogging in ages. the ndp trainings are damn tiring. this sat is ne1 (1st national education show). if anyone got tickets, be it rehesal, preview or actual day, spot me in the middle of the scout contingent!! im now waiting for my results into temasek academy. oh and i just passed my grade 8 piano exam! went to watch ice age 3. it rocks!!!!! damn funny, it possibly the best ice age of the 3. btw some people requested me to continue to blog abt cars...

hey all. i was bored so i made a list of touchscreen phones in my class. amreet: lg viewty, ivan: lg viewty, waihuin: apple iphone 3g, valerie: samsung f480, melvin: sony ericsson w960, nura: some phone with no brand, and erlia: samsung omnia hd. i think the samsung omnia hd is the best due to its user friendly interface, 8mp camera and its capacitative touchscreen.

hi all. first i want to blog abt the debate competition. it was the 3rd round on friday (last day of term 1!), we were against orchid park sec. the motion was this house would make environmental protection a condition for receiving developmental aid. sounds carzy right? but its not very hard if u slowly define the meaning of each word. so we were the opposition. first speaker was nichloas, second spewaker was benjamin, third speaker was govind and the reply speaker was nichloas again. like last time we had no reserves as aaron and ritesh had something on. trained like crazy the whole week. guess where the competion was? unity sec. it is literally the furthest school away frm our sch lah. anyway it was a super close fight and we won by a narrow margin. and we managed to get into the quater finals!! edwin promised the team blazers and a trip to 77th street.

anyway on to the job week camp. i missed the first day due to the debate competition. =( and due to the economic crisis people very stingy leh. last year i got almost 300 bucks in 3 days. this year i only got abt 150 dollars on 2 days. =( oh and i saw a honda cbr1000xx blackbird. its a damn fast and quite rare motorcycle if u dont know.

damn sian now. later meeting up with my performance task grp members to do that video thingy. still got debate training. and piano exam in june... sigh

oh and the most important news: SELADANG SCOUT GROUP HAS ATTAINED THE FRANK COOPER SANDS AWARD 2008 - GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! first time in seven years. the last time was in 2001 when randy came back frm npc with a gold.

chalet

hi. i went to my scouts chalet from the 18 to 20 of december.

i took sheeqals fathers maserati granturismo there!!! it was the best car i have ever touched.

we arrived there and went to the chalet and saw many others. those with bikes went to old changi hospital while the others like me stayed and watched movies, ate and played cards.

we ended up sleeping at 4am. we woke up around 9 and watched tv and played more cards until 12 when we ate lunch(we skipped breakfast).

the barbecue was in the evening and there was a lot of food. i liked to cook the stuff. there was chicken, prawns, otah, prawn balls, cuttlefish balls, corn crabstiks and loads more! randy came.

after the barbecue which ended at 12. we hung around the chalet for a while when some of them decided to watch yes man as a late night movie. i did not go and stayed with the rest.

we all went home the next day.

marathon

hi all. today was the standard chartered singapore marathon. i wanted to take the runspiration tour but my mother did not allow it. i had everything planned properly and she had to spoil everything! =(

so after sending my brother and my sister there we came home to rest. at around 7+ we headed to east coast for breakfast and see them running. unfortunately i did not see them.

after that, my mother dropped me off at eunos mrt station and i took a train to city hall and joined in the fun. it was great at the padang where the finishing line was. there was food, drinks, cars, balloons, music and loads more!! i glimpsed my sister at the end but i did not see my brother.

everything was so exciting and fun at the standard chartered singapore marathon 2008. =)

hi! i went to the npc open house on sunday. i walked around to find seladang's campsite. it was in subcamp 5; all the way at the end and the path leading to it was covered in mud. trust me you can literally sink into the mud.

i was very surprised at my campsite when i finally found it. it was way below my expectations. it had a little kitchen, a bench and a tent. not a bad place to live in but it was nothing compared to many others that i have seen.

catholic high's was very good, and so was ri 02's, dunman high's and victoria's. i was very impressed at their standards although it was not altogether unexpected.

cat high's gateway was very tall. their gadgets were great. i have no idea how but they somehow managed to bend bamboo into a u shape. this allowed them to integrate their bench and table in a very cool way. i can assume that they used their abundant amount of money to purchase such good wood. everything was standardised, even their slippers.

ri 02's had everything literally under one roof. unlike our's and cat high's, they did not have a separate tentage for sleeping. they had a second level for other purposes. i find this a good idea as it saves space although it will be hard to construct. i liked their sink. they had a bucket of water on thte floor connected to the basin via a hand pump. you merely need to squeeze the pump to get water.

the structures were great. there were many playgrounds, slides and swings. ours was a structure where you climb a ladder and you slide down a fireman's pole. you could also climb up the pole to get to the platform on the top.

zhenghua being as rich as zhenghua gave away free helium balloons. vs had a swing and a platform that you climbed up to by a ladder integrated into one. cat high had a boat themed playground. ahs also had a playground. chung cheng had a dunking machine.

the next time i go for npc in 2010, im gunning for at least a gold, if not, the shield. difficult, yes, but not impossible.

this year seladang was an inch away from a silver. =(

damn. i was tying the npc tower when i used my body weight to tighten square lash. i got a lousy rope although i could not tell. so the rope snapped and i fell two floors.

fractured my right wrist and they called an ambulance which took me to kk. they sort of pulled the bone back into position so it will be easier to heal.

because of this, i had to miss my piano exam on tuesday which costs over 30o dollars. and i cant go to npc!!! damn, i was looking forward to it and trained so hard for it.

went for the hike frm saturday to sunday. i was quite ok. from school we went to some hindu temple then to a church that did not exist. after hours of trying to find it (wasting time), we called dominic who just told us to describe the place where the church is supposed to be. sigh we wasted soo much time there.

then we went down to clemenceau bridge then to henderson community centre. i finally saw the henderson waves!!! from there then we went to the rest point at labrador park.
we met mark's patrol like FOUR time along the way! we also met avinash's patrol. and dominic said that patrols will never cross each other...

at labrador park a lot of stuff happened. first, we called dominic to ask where to go. he said carpark a. we went up the big hill to carpark a to find no one there. then we called kane and jonathan's partrols and realised that they went to carpark b and c. so we went down via the ww2 trail and still could not find them. so after we finally found them, we could not light the fire to cook our stuff and there was no shelter. so we went all the way back up the hill to the nice carpark a.

finally, we could eat our dinner and do some stuff before sleeping. there was inspection that night. there was a lot of commotion when there was rain and about the rations.

the next day my patrol went to a junction that was blocked by a load of construction sites. so we could not exactly see the junction. then we hiked up alexandra road, river valley road, mt alexandra hospital to cairnhill cc. then we went to the end point which was novena mrt station.

today got scouts meeting. i got the swimming proficiency and the collectors profiency badges! after the oreinteering, highway code and pack a rucksack lessons, me and the npc team went to the den slack. jian yang got school liao so today is the last training with him. ching hao went to buy noodles for themselves and he got a summon ticket. haha. after that we do push ups and run around. then dismissed after a short fall in. next week got knots test, oreinteering test, highway code test and pack a rucksack test.

now scouts have a lot of meetings, tests, camps, blah blah blah. even got times to go back to marlin to help out with one thing or another. from now to the end of the year i got 3 'camps'. the advanced scout standard hike, the national patrol camp, and the farewell chalet. i hope i can have a good time at scouts! dominic say if i attend all the meetings, i can get the scout standard by 1st of november this year. cool! and also get advanced scout standard by june next year. =)=)=)

hi some of my sa2 results come back already. my chinese got 54 upon 100! i passed!! english got 63 upon 100. science got 80 upon 100!!!! history is 63 upon 100 but is quite likely to change. geography got 72 upon 100. so far so good. =)

hi. i went to bring some tanjong katong primary school cub scouts to the southern ridges for a hike.quite fun lar. i realise at the mount faber park/kent ridge park/telok blangah hill park area got alot of nice stuff lor.

down there got hortpark, henderson waves, alexandra arch, and a lot of other 'mordern' places. but we only went to hortpark, alexandra arch and the canopy walk.

the world's first f1 night race comes to singapore. ya i know i did not blog abt this. its sooo nice lor. got all the celebrations, autograph signing, parties, practices, qualifyings, races, performances, supporting races...... sooo nice!! and im going to miss all of it all thanks to my exams and my mother. =(=(=(=(=(=(really damn sad. but i can get a peek on tv. as im typing this KIMI RAIKKONEN leads!!! yeah go kimi and felipe!!! ferrari rocks!!!! so sad i cant see most of it i hope either massa or raikkonen wins the championship. lewis hamilton SUCKS. i'll blog more and the race probably tomorrow.
